Lisa & Sean chose The Royal George Hotel in Birdlip for their wedding for several reasons, one of which was the location. Just down the road is the most stunning views over Gloucestershire and they wanted to have some pictures taken at the view point. We all needed to keep our fingers crossed for fine, clear weather!
As I drove over to Birdlip it was one of those unpredictable days; darkish clouds and a clap of thunder as well! Sean and the boys were already ‘suited and booted’ when I arrived and Mason the Staffie dog was looking pretty smart too. He had an important role to play that day being the ring bearer. I had great fun taking pictures in the garden. The three young ushers are lovely boys and were all very happy to have their photographs taken and they were really helpful throughout the day too.
By the time I got back to the bridal suite everyone was ready and after taking a few shots of Lisa and the bridesmaids, it was time to go over to the Ceremony Room.
The Ceremony went perfectly and as for Mason, well you wouldn’t have known he was there. Jordan, Sean’s son carefully untied the rings from the ribbon round Mason’s neck so they were ready for that all important moment, the exchange of rings. After the Ceremony we all went into the garden for drinks, confetti, lots of chatter and of course some photographs.
Before the guests were called in for the meal I popped upstairs to take photographs of the dining room and the cakes. Yes there were two and cup cakes as well. The motorbike cake was a big surprise for Sean who recognised the bike immediately. The room looked absolutely stunning with lots of lovely, thoughtful details.
After the meal and speeches and some fun with the dressing up box we left the guests to drive to the viewpoint. The weather couldn’t have been better – it was a beautiful evening as you can see from the pictures.
This had been a fantastic day for everyone. Thank you Lisa & Sean for being a great couple and braving the slopes at the viewpoint to get some great views!
