The iconic Pittville Pump Room in Cheltenham was the setting for Gill & Alan’s summer wedding. It’s a classic Regency building overlooking the park and the lake and there are lots of opportunities for photographs.
Amongst the guests and to the delight of the couple, Alan’s 99 year old Granny was able to be there …and not just for the Ceremony, she wasn’t going to miss out on the Reception either! What an amazing lady.
The Ceremony went smoothly although pushing the rings on proved a bit tricky, it was warm in there. Just as Gill and Alan came out of the Pump Room the sun made an appearance. Hugs, kisses and confetti swiftly followed before I took a few group shots including a set featuring the Victorian bandstand.
Everyone was enjoying the sunshine and chatting so much that no-one was in a hurry to leave to go to the Reception. This gave me the chance to take some candid shots which I love taking. It’s a great way to show how much everyone is enjoying the day.
Eventually with the last guest heading off to The Green Dragon at Cockleford, for the reception, Gill and Alan and myself walked down to the lake for some photographs. It’s a perfect setting for bride & groom pictures and I know these are some of their favourite shots.
Arriving at The Green Dragon the party was in full swing with everyone on the terrace enjoying the sunshine. The dining room looked so pretty. Gill wanted the room to have a natural, countryside feel and she’d certainly achieved that. The flowers and tables looked lovely.
I’m so pleased Gill and Alan’s wedding day was everything they’d hoped for. They are a lovely couple and I thoroughly enjoyed photographing their special day. A big thank you to you both!
