A Cotswold wedding on Owlpen Manor estate, Glos.

Rebecca & Steve's wedding at Owlpen Manor near Uley

Stepping back from photographing weddings has been a hard decision but I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect wedding than this. A lovely couple, a beautiful venue, an intimate wedding with less than thirty guests and to my delight one of the hymns chosen by Rebecca & Steve was ‘Jerusalem’!

Owlpen Manor is a gem of a venue with a delightful church, pretty terraced gardens and a unique Cyder House which is full of character and perfect for an intimate wedding.

Thank you very much Rebecca & Steve for making my last wedding so enjoyable. I’m so pleased the day was perfect for you too; we even had a rainbow just before you went into the Cyder House for the wedding breakfast! I did feel a small pang of regret as I left Owlpen that after fourteen years of photographing weddings this would be the last one. ┬áIt was however a lovely one to finish on and as I write this Blog I’ve thoroughly enjoyed selecting these pictures.

Of course I couldn’t possibly retire and so I’m continuing to photograph family occasions such as parties, christenings and other celebrations. I also take bookings for family photoshoots which are great fun and who knows someone may be able to twist my arm to photograph their wedding?! It would be hard to say ‘no’…
