Kerry & Mike’s guests included six adults and seven children – a small, Intimate Wedding at Malvern Registry Office.
The Registry Office in Malvern is in an interesting gothic style building in the grounds of Priory Park with a grand staircase leading up to a pretty stained glass window. I know this venue so I was hoping to grab a few minutes to take a some shots of the Kerry & Mike on the staircase, which we did manage.
Priory Park has lots of interesting features including some magnificent mature trees. The Victorian bandstand is a good spot for group shots but best of all is the Japanese-style bridge which spans the large duck pond. It’s perfect for a group shot of everyone and shots of the bride & groom on their own. The young children were more interested in the ducks than waving at the camera for the shots on the bridge and who can blame them? Most of the children were very young children so I had to work quick to take the group shots that Kerry & Mike wanted. It’s quite a challenge to get young children to all look in your direction …and smile!
You need a bit of luck sometimes as a wedding photographer and so I was really pleased to get a family shot with the couple and their children, all looking at the camera. It was a very hot day and the little ones were tired by this time and hungry, never a good combination when you’re looking for lots of smiles! Anyway we did it and Kerry & Mike are thrilled with their pictures.
Thank you Kerry & Mike for choosing me to photograph your Big Day and congratulations to Riley for being the perfect ‘Best Man’.
